Tweeps Pass

1. What Tweeps Pass is

Tweeps Pass ("Tweeps", "we", "us") is an event hosting platform operated by Tweeps Creatives, based in Nairobi, Kenya. Hosts use it to create an event page, collect RSVPs, receive M-Pesa gifts or sell tickets, issue QR gate passes, and gather photos from guests. Guests use it to RSVP, contribute a gift, buy a ticket, and share photos. These Terms apply to everyone who uses the site — hosts, guests, and vendors alike.

2. Accounts and access

Hosts sign in with a Kenyan phone number and a one-time code sent by SMS. You're responsible for keeping access to that phone number secure — anyone who can receive your OTP can act as you on the platform. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

3. Pricing and tiers

Basic, Premium, and VIP passes are one-time, per-event fees, not subscriptions. Culture & Festivals category events are commission-only — Tweeps takes a percentage of each ticket sold instead of an upfront fee (see the pricing page for the current rate). Prices are set at the time you create your event and don't change retroactively for that event.

4. Gifts, tickets, and payouts

Gifts and ticket payments are collected via M-Pesa. Tweeps deducts a commission (currently 2.5% on gifts, and the published rate on Culture & Festivals tickets) and holds the host's remaining share until the host requests a payout from their dashboard. Payouts are currently settled manually by Tweeps to the host's own M-Pesa number — there is no fixed payout schedule yet, and requests are processed as promptly as reasonably possible. This will move to automatic settlement as the platform grows; hosts will be notified before that change takes effect.

5. Guest photos

Guests who upload a photo to an event's moments page do so under their own name (or the identity captured at RSVP), and grant the host and Tweeps a license to display that photo on the event's public moments and recap pages for as long as the event's gallery stays live under its tier. Uploading a photo you don't have the right to share, or that violates someone else's privacy or dignity, is not permitted.

6. Prohibited use

Don't use Tweeps Pass to collect money under false pretenses, impersonate someone else's event, upload content that is abusive, unlawful, or infringes someone else's rights, or attempt to circumvent the platform's fees. We may suspend or remove an event that violates these terms, with or without notice depending on severity.

7. Liability

Tweeps Pass is the technology that connects hosts and guests — we are not a party to the event itself. Refunds, cancellations, and disputes about an event are the host's responsibility (see the Refund Policy). We work to keep the platform available and your data safe, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service, and our liability for any issue is limited to the fees you paid for the event in question.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date; continuing to use Tweeps Pass after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
